You have probably already heard of Facebook or Myspace or both. Well these Social Networking websites have provided the opportunity for you to interact with other Internet users all over the world. These online communities are extremely popular as they provide an excellent platform to discuss common interests or activities, including MLM. With the advent of newer and efficient technologies in communication, networking in the cyberspace using social media sites has become a common phenomenon. Every day the number of Internet users is steadily growing providing unlimited access to people beyond boundaries. Have a look at this cool video on our blog called "Did you Know". It will blow you away; in a matter fact over 10 million people have viewed it already. Cick Here to check it Out
What are Social Networking sites? Also known as Social Media sites, they provide the channel to promote your website or MLM business through various media channels that can be accessed globally. This powerful strategy will get you the network contacts, links, attention and a large amount of traffic to your business website. It acts as an effective & economical promotional process that has the ability to showcase your profile and hence your business to a large number of people. The tools of communication used for networking are blogs, e-mail, newsfeeds and instant messaging. Some of other popular Social Networking sites include LinkedIn, and Twitter.
How do Facebook and Twitter make their money? You wont want to here what I have to say about there business plan, it is ingenious and scrupulous. What do I mean by this!! Well, did you know if you were to post a personal photo of you and your partner at your best friends wedding on Facebook that photo is no longer yours? Spooky hey!
That's right, in Facebook terms and conditions, it states that all content posted on Facebook is the property of Facebook and they are entitled to do what ever they want with it. That's right; they could even sell the photo to a magazine if they wanted too. I haven't heard them doing this, but potentially they could. And this goes for any other content you post.
Back onto the business plan. All successful website owners intentionally give something away for free to entice visitors to their website. In the sense of social networking sites they are giving away a free personal website, where everyone can social network together to voice their opinions, plans, stories or just BS. This then creates traffic to the website, creating the brand Like "Facebook" or "Twitter".
If you could remember when both these websites started, you would have noticed that there were no signs of advertisement or shopping portals. They were in their infancy stage looking for valuable traffic. Their grand plan is to get an audience where they know everything there is to know about YOU. Marketers call these demographics i.e.: age gender, likes, dislikes and everything else.
How do they know this stuff? From the day you signed up and for every bit of content you post they have things called spiders and robots that captures your interest, thoughts, searches and every move you make.
With this invaluable information you have the most targeted prospect possible. They then sell this traffic to advertisers and merchants. Haven't you ever thought it was unusual that your Facebook or Gmail account has MLM advertisements on the side of your page? This is no coincident. You have probably mention network marketing or MLM in you conversations.
Judgment Day is getting cloaser!!!!
How does Social Networking work? Let us now look at the basic structure of a Social Networking site. Believe it or not, it only consists of creating a user profile. That, simple!! Next step would be to have people notice your presence. To achieve this, you can create a group of contacts consisting of friends and other like minded people. Now that you are all set, it is easy to update your network of people on current happenings and status updates on a regular basis. It could consist of updates ranging from family and friends to business. It is important to note that Social Networking sites must have a friendly and informal format. Need I say more!! You would probably scare netizens with a business type profile on your Facebook or Twitter profile.
To remain active and show yourself as a cool and regular Social Networker, you could post blogs and updates regularly. Visit other profiles and leave comments for the other users. There are an astounding number of cool widgets available today which make it easier to visit your MLM business website. Think of it as a great promotional tool, at no cost. Benefits of Social Networking sites As a Network Marketing business owner, you can avail many benefits by using Social Networking sites for your MLM business growth.
Adopt soft and slow persuasive methods to educate your contacts about the business and its products. They are bound to be intrigued. Expansion of business and sales are made possible using Social Networking sites by planning and executing a deliberate and steady approach. If you are a pushy MLM business owner, your marketing tactics and short-term sales pitch would hamper all chances of your business development. Have a plan in place to utilize this tool for your business. Strategize every step towards effective marketing of your MLM business.
Remember that Social Networking is a powerful resource for Network Marketing. You have the ability to create a new set of friends and contacts. It also helps you reconnect with old friends and converse on your business and opportunities. Don't blow it with a hungry business owner attitude. The traditional method of Network Marketing involves working with a lot of cold leads. But with the Internet and the Social Networking websites, connecting with people has become easier than ever before. Establishing a lifelong association with your Social Networking contacts would benefit your business on a large scale.
Use Social Networking sites to create strong associations and friendship rather than focus on finding prospects alone. It makes Network Marketing a lot more fun and effective in the days ahead. Until next month....Happy Networking Troy Rocavert
