So let's now dig a little deeper into the world of networking online to see how you can use it to grow your MLM business and starting to build a huge down line that you have probably been dreaming about for years. Let us start by expanding our mindset and how to use of Social Networking sites to your adventage.

I am sure you would have heard the phrase. "We don't like be sold on but we all love to buy", well that's the essence of network marketing because we would prefer to take recommendations from people we know and trust rather then someone we don't. Well this is where we can use Social Networking to our advantage.

We can build credibility and trust towards you and your business through a network of never ending friends. For example, when you post something of interest and value on such social networking sites, it automatically becomes highly recommended amongst various circles and gets a high click rate. Meaning, friend's of your family and friends of friends are more likely to sit up and take notice.

Effective communication

Communication has now taken a whole new channel: the Internet. Bill Gates has been quoted saying that "If your business in not on the Internet, then your business will be out of business." How true is that?

And you need to do this for your own MLM business as well. If you don't have the skills to build you own website then you can always use of Social Networking sites. Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and LinkedIn are some of the most popular platforms to communicate. For example, MySpace currently gets over 50 million views monthly, that averages over 1.6 million viewers daily! On top of this, more than 100 million Internet users worldwide are using Social Networking sites today. Let's sit back and think of the enormous opportunity we have on our hands -- by providing valuable content to your profile page of these various sites, you will soon see a good amount traffic entering your website. It is importance that you become a social networker and develop a good reputation and relationship with those in your various circles before announcing that you are an MLM business owner. There is nothing worse than scaring people away by throwing your business at them right from the start!

Since your family and friends already know and trust you, they can spread the word in their circles and create a ripple effect. Your presence online, coupled with a good profile, will work like magic. People who share similar interests can reach out to you and learn more about your business opportunity.

Since these websites are highly populated, it makes for a great target market to tap into. But you don't wont to target everyone. A helpful tip is to search for different network marketing companies and see if they have a fan page. Join as a fan and start adding friends who are fans of each of the network marketing fan pages. You can start building a network of MLMer's. So what are you waiting for?

A good way to maximize your efforts and improve your growth potential is to encourage your downline to use their own social media and share your knowledge of what works and what does not.. This is a simple and effective means of lead generation. Do not lose sight of the primary goal of using Social Networking sites: to grow your MLM business. Here are a few pointers to keep in mind that can help keep you grounded:

1. Build lasting relationships. Using sites like Facebook and Twitter gives you access to an unlimited target market. Focus on building trust and credibility by being a friend to build a huge network

2. Value addition. Provide valuable content on Social Networking sites. Be casual in your approach and share your experiences. This will attract more people to you than brandishing you and your opportunity.

3. Learn to multiply. I would stress the fact that Social Networking is perhaps the best tool to tap into a lucrative, profitable and a highly potential market. Establish yourself as a firm social networker and gain multiple contacts over time, building a huge network.

4. Plan business growth steadily. This one will surely catch your attention. This is the sole reason for you getting into Social Networking. Have a monthly goal set of widening your network by "x" amount of people. Share your experiences, professional ambitions, etc. with your network of people without enticing them to join your business

5. Position yourself. Establish your online persona just as you are in real life. You could have a casual or funny approach on things or be an "advisor". Whatever the role, stick to it and Brand yourself.

6. Market youself. You have established yourself as a Social Networker with a purpose. Discuss how you can help them earn extra money with a home business.

7. Testimonials. Your average ‘Joe Bob' is more convinced to try something out after they hear good feedback from other like-minded people. Display testimonials of products on your Facebook pages along with a brief preview of the product line

Content writing

Now that you have established yourself in the social media scene, it is time to focus on good content. To increase traffic to your website and see productivity and growth in your business, your content has to be a crowd puller. What I mean by this is, focus on sharing your experiences and make it an interesting read. This will make others want to know more about you and your work.

There are many Social bookmarking sites where you can post your blogs. Here are a few pointers to help you on your way:
- Encourage reader participation by asking them to leave feedback
- Provide linkbacks to your website. This makes it easier for people from other sites to visit your business website
- Participate positively in forum discussions and be an active member. The greater your presence, the stronger your credibility
- Add other user blog links in your blogs. This in turn would encourage them to do the same. Free Advertising

The power of social media is very new and extremely powerful. Over a short period of time you will see a lot of traffic entering your website, leading to business growth like never before.
