Marketing Magic, Issue #006 -- Putting the Net into Network Marketing – Part 1Welcome to this month’s edition of Marketing Magic where we’ll introduce a new topic of how to create an online marketing campaign. Over the past 5 months we have discussed the 5M’s of marketing and the steps required to develop a successful marketing (and lead generation) campaign. During this time we have received a number of emails requesting information on how to implement the 5 M’s of marketing online. In response to those emails this new series of Marketing Magic Newsletters will discuss the ‘how to’ of online marketing. But first an update from our Network Marketing Business School website.
Building a Lead Generation Campaign on the Internet
A little bit of background research tells us that there are literally millions of people searching the internet every day looking for solutions to solve their problems. Lucky for us - it just so happens that we are in the business of helping people to solve their problems. Additionally the internet is a marketers dream, not only does it provide access to a large population of potential prospects but it also allows you to tailor your marketing message towards different niche markets such that you get results. In summary Network Marketing and the Internet are the perfect couple and in the years to come the internet will become the primary method in which networkers choose to do business.
Over the next few months this Marketing Magic series will share with you many of the secrets to being able to market yourself online. It should be noted that many successful internet marketers would be hesitant to share this knowledge with their subscribers as potentially their subscribers would apply this knowledge and become a direct competitor. So why would we be any different? Because we think a little differently to most people in the industry and we believe that competition is healthy. One of the main goals of Network Marketing Business School is to be able to share knowledge. “In the true essence of networking, share what you know”. If it works we want you to know about it such that it levels the play field and provides everyone in the industry equal opportunity. You too should share your knowledge about the industry and one of the best ways for you to do this is to send an email encouraging your downline, upline or cross line to checkout Network Marketing Business School as we keep people in the industry up to date with the latest in education and training. Getting started The first and most important thing that we want you to understand in regards to internet marketing is that it works. There is no argument here, internet marketing is a very effective marketing method of generating leads for your network marketing business, BUT (and this is also very important) it takes time, quite often more time than you think, and it takes knowledge. Additionally the internet is a rapidly evolving medium and therefore those looking to capatilise on it must be prepared to constantly update their knowledge to ensure that you are at the front of the success curve. The good news is if you have the time we can share with you the knowledge. So that our subscribers get the most out of this Marketing Magic series we need to know your current level of knowledge about Inter-Network Marketing. Please complete the following 30 sec survey that will help us to identify what you currently know and what information we need to teach you in the coming months. Completing this survey will essentially help us to tailor this newsletter series to suit your needs. Click here to fill out our survey. Once you completed the survey (link above) we ask that you come back here so that we can share with you one of the biggest lessons in how to run a successful business. A simple lesson that will help keep you on the road to success. One the simplest and most important lessons we can teach you in business is to be accountable to your time and be able to prioritize your workday. Incidentally I learnt this simple lesson from a colleague during a coffee break at an online traffic building conference.
The conversation went something like this:
When I got home from the conference, I was so excited that I had to call everyone in my team. They could tell by the tone in my voice that I must have found out something incredible at the conference. When I told them this story they probably felt exactly same as you are feeling at the moment - Disappointed! But what they didn’t understand was that I had just discovered something so simply, the ‘how to’ of things to do. It taught me that I should be more accountable to my time and to prioritise my daily actions and since putting it into practice, I have been able to achieve a lot more during my day.
Quite often people in network marketing are stuck procrastinating, wondering what to do next. If we could create a checklist of things to do it would makes things so much easier. You be surprised how many people don’t write down their daily actions. It’s all well and good to have a rough idea inside your head, but the advantage of writing it down is that it adds a level commitment, a short term goal that you can work towards, your able to prioritise your tasks and receive great satisfaction when able to cross an item off your list.
The reason I’m telling you this now, is that when you start to build any marketing campaign, there are going to be a lot of important steps that you need to complete and bypassing a simple step could cost you dearly. The internet in particular can be a huge distraction and it is easy for people to become sidetracked and waste valuable time. If you can create a ‘to do’ list, start at the top and work your way down, before you know it, you will be well on the way to building a successful business online. You can manage your daily actions anyway you please. I have another friend Julie, who uses post-it notes and sticks them all over her wall. As Julie completes them she rips them off and puts them in the bin.
Personally, I have a big white board mounted on my wall that has all my daily actions written down in priority. As I look up to my list for today I see:
There are a couple of items here that I never rub off and I am sure you will be able to pick which ones they are.
What have you got on you’re ‘to do’ list today? Is it written down, which are the most important tasks? This simply strategy can help to keep you focused and on track to a successful future. Incidentally make sure you include some play items on your list, life wasn’t supposed to be all work and no play. Live for the moment as well as for the future.
As discussed above please take the time to complete the survey and we look forward to discussing the results next month, when we start you on a journey to building a successful online business that generates leads that come to you. Until then, happy prospecting, be sure to check out our website for all your training needs.
Until next month, happy prospecting.
Wishing you and your business all the best. Troy Rocavert
