Dear Friends,

Let me share with you the long version of my dream to help you better understand its full meaning. My vision starts with the concept of supporting the industry that supports you, which will lead to long term success of the industry and those who choose to take part.

In order for me to highlight my vision, I ask you take a moment to reflect on the current nature of the industry in which we work by asking yourself a simple question – how many network marketing companies (other than your own) do you recommend and support?

In my experience most Network Marketer’s are loyal and choose only to support and buy from their parent company, but why? Sure, I buy products from my company too, but what about all those other non-competitive products. I believe a true supporter of the industry would be willing to refer and recommend (even buy) products from other companies within the industry.

Let me give you an example; imagine your network marketing company sells water filters and you were talking to someone who was complaining about feeling tired all the time. You may not be able to solve this person’s problem with your water filters, but you may be able to solve this person’s problem by referring another networker’s product.

Over the years I have noticed the majority of people in the industry are very competitive and even the thought of recommending (or buying) products from another company is sacrilegious.

I believe this arrogance is one of the reasons behind the tainted reputation of the industry as a whole. But there is a better way. In recent years I’ve seen the network marketing industry become overly competitive when it doesn’t need to be. There are more network marketing companies today than ever before and instead of being concerned about the potential competition, we should be excited about the fact that the modern-day consumer is starting to realise how good this industry actually is. We need to embrace and support one another because in essence we all share a common goal – to live a good quality life.

I have also found, the most valuable customers you will ever find are not those who you personally prospect, but instead are those who are referred by someone else (ie an existing customer), not because they would profit from the recommendation but because they believed in the product. People working in the network marketing industry often become stereotyped when their product endorsements are seen to be driven by financial incentive. Yet when people see that you are also willing to recommend products in which you have no affiliation, you gain creditably. By doing this we not only help to support other businesses within the industry, we also help to build a reputation that the network marketing industry deserves.

In summary, as a business person I can appreciate the desire to satisfy your own business needs, but as a supporter of the industry I ask that when the opportunity arises be kind to your industry and consider your fellow networkers. By paying it forward the industry as a whole will benefit.

I encourage you all to support and embrace this vision and as an industry, together, we can with pride, watch it grow and be rewarded with its success.

As a gift to you I offer this website which shares years of networking experience that I hope you can use to your advantage.
